Heralded in the Houston County Courier (1/24/02), “Julianne Tillinghast as Josephine, the Captain’s daughter, captivated the audience with her stunning soprano voice.”
Ms. Tillinghast was born in California and raised in England. She was classically trained in Vocal Studies & Opera, at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England. She has been singing in public since the age of seven in Europe and the USA. She has performed in numerous concerts, operas & musicals including leading and comprimario roles and chorus. Last year she toured nationally with Opera a la Carte, as Josephine in “HMS Pinafore” and Peep-Bo in “The Mikado”. Most recently, in November 2002, she worked with Dan Bridston (formerly of LA Opera) in a one hour televised solo recital.
