FOA was founded in 1984 to entertain guests visiting Los Angeles, during the
1984 Olympic Arts Festival. In 2004, they underwent a group makeover,
by first changing its name and then introducing new members.
Each of the members of FOA have distinguished themselves as professional chamber
musicians, lending their own individual sensitivity and depth. As a group, FOA
are as equally proficient in Baroque and classical styles, as they are with modern and
Pop music; equally strong as soloists, as they are accompanists. You will be enthralled
by this captivating quartet known as Friends of Alvaron.
The founding member, Alvaron Morrow is the oboist and recordist of the ensemble. He has
performed with numerous local orchestras and musical organizations, as soloist and an
ensemble member. The group is composed of Flute, Oboe, Violin and Cello, and Keyboard,
available as a quartet or trio. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor events.
Our styles range from renaissance to modern classics. Requests available
with ample notice.
